- I'm a lifelong New Yorker. I've been involved in politics on and off for more than two decades, but I think we need more than a political solution to issues of war and peace.
- Why are you interested in Peace in the Middle East?

Because of the moral imperative to find a just solution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and because this conflict plays either a central or partial role in fomenting many instances of global and regional disharmony, conflict and violence.
- Where did your interest in this topic begin?

I've been concerned about issues of war and peace, and peace in the Middle East in particular, since I was a child.
